Yes - students in Year 9 & 10 are able to join the UCAT Weekly Tutoring Program.
We strongly encourage Year 9 & 10 students join the program as it allows them to develop core UCAT skills before they get into the difficult & challenging Years of 11 & 12. We've found that students who begin in Years 9 & 10 often have a significant advantage over students who start later in Years 11 & 12, and generally achieve higher UCAT scores.
Year 9 & 10 students follow the same structure as Year 11's initially, going through the 'Foundations' phase first, and then the 'Skill Development' phase. This accelerates their UCAT learning, allowing them to cover most of the more difficult and time-consuming concepts (that many students struggle with) before they begin Year 12 (and sometimes even Year 11). This allows them to dedicate more time to school study and homework in Years 11 and 12 when they have regular and important assessments and exams.
Students that start in Years 9 and 10 also get to spend more time on the 'Mastery' phase of the program, which is where students can maximize their chances of success. Exams are known to be difficult & unpredictable, and by spending more time in the 'Mastery' phase of the program, your child will be able to make advanced tweaks to their UCAT skills and push their score to the 98th and 99th percentiles.
If your child is in Year 9 or 10 and you are interested in joining the UCAT Weekly Tutoring Program, but have some final questions, please don't hesitate to send us an email at support@medprepschool.com.au and we will get back to you within 24-48 hours.
