Program Information

The UCAT Weekly Tutoring Program gives students access to a 90-minute tutoring lesson each week with one of Australia's most experienced UCAT tutors (alongside complementary materials and resources). Past students have achieved an average UCAT score in the 95th%.

Weekly UCAT
Tutoring Classes
Students attend a 90-minute online UCAT tutoring class each week with one of our expert UCAT tutors. These classes follow a 3-stage curriculum that guides your child to a 95th% UCAT score.

Class sizes are kept small to ensure 1-to-1 interaction and engagement between our expert UCAT tutors and students.

Weekly UCAT Homework Tasks
Students are assigned homework tasks after each UCAT tutoring class to reinforce their learning.

These homework tasks build on the content covered in the tutoring classes, and allow students to master the content they've just learnt from our expert tutors before their next class.

All homework is submitted to our tutors for feedback and review.
Weekly UCAT
Q&A Classes
Students also have the chance to attend a further 60-minute Q&A class each week where they can seek further 1-on-1 guidance from our expert tutors (and targeted tutoring in areas they are weak).

This gives students a way to receive help and guidance with assigned homework tasks throughout the week.

5 Official UCAT
Mock Exams
Throughout the program, students sit 5 complete UCAT mock exams under the guidance of our expert tutoring team.

This allows us to track students progress throughout the program and ensure they are on track for a 95th percentile score.

Most students perform well in these mock exams which gives them extra confidence and motivation to continue their UCAT preparation, however if any students are lagging behind, we offer extra support and classes to get them on up to speed.
BONUS: Private UCAT Community Access
Students who enrol into the $55 P/W Weekly Tutoring Program will also be given an exclusive invitation to join our private UCAT community.

This is a community made for students who are looking to get into Medicine, and it's a place where your child can interact with likeminded people & learn from one another.

The key to academic success always lies in surrounding yourself with the right people, and this is exactly why we have created this private community.
BONUS: UCAT Foundations Course
Students who enrol will get access to our 'foundations' online training course which is designed to be completed prior to joining the weekly tutoring sessions.

This 'foundations' course is designed to teach your child the core foundations of the UCAT skills & strategies, to ensure that they are ready for when the weekly tutoring classes begin.

This course will be made immediately available to students upon joining the program.

Program Structure & Fees

Students work through 3 phases during the weekly tutoring program (covered in more detail in the image below) to ensure their UCAT score is at the 95th% by the end of the program.

The UCAT Weekly Tutoring Classes begin from July 2022. You can secure your child's place in the program by putting down a $220 deposit for the first 4 weeks ($55 per week).

After putting down a deposit, your child will immediately get access to the 'Foundations' online program for them to complete prior to their first class commencing in July. This program is designed to be completed over a 12-16 week period to ensure they are ready for their 1st class.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who is this program suitable for?

This program is suitable for anyone who is looking to succeed in the UCAT exam so that they can get into Medicine.

Students can join in any year level, however the majority join in either Year 9, 10, 11 or 12.

When does the program start?

The LIVE Weekly UCAT Tutoring Classes start in July 2022.

Before then, students are expected to work through our 'UCAT Foundations' training that covers critical introductory UCAT content and ensures that every student is on the same page for when they attend their first LIVE UCAT tutoring class in July.

Students should ideally have 12-16 weeks to go through the 'Foundations' phase before getting started with the official classes in July.

If you enrol your child into the LIVE Weekly UCAT Tutoring Classes now, you will also receive free access to our "UCAT Mastery Video Course" (Value: $500) which your child can use to get a further headstart on other students before the LIVE classes begin.

How do the UCAT Weekly Tutoring Classes work?

Each week students will be given a link to attend their UCAT Weekly Tutoring Class (hosted via Zoom, an Interactive Online Learning Software) where you'll listen to our tutors teach the UCAT LIVE, and interact with them and other classmates.

Students will be able to interact, ask and solve questions LIVE with the tutors during the lesson.

By joining the program your child will also be invited to sign up for where they will join our private UCAT community. This is a community where aspiring Medical students can help one another, and all of the extra resources (such as class recordings & the UCAT Video Course) are accessible through this platform.

What are the UCAT Weekly Tutoring Class times?

Students will be able to select a day and time of their choice (with first priority given to students who sign up early).

Current Class Times:

Saturday Mornings: 11AM - 12.30PM
Sunday Mornings: 10.30AM - 12.00PM

Every tutoring class will be recorded and made available to students for their viewing and revision.

Students also have the option of attending a Q & A call in case they need extra support. These sessions are ran on Sunday evening at 4pm & Monday evening at 6:30 (both AEDT).

How many hours will this program take per week?

Students will be expected to dedicate between 2-3 hours per week to their UCAT preparation.

Each tutoring lesson runs for 90-minutes, and students will also be expected to complete homework (and attend additional Q&A classes if they require extra personalised 1-on-1 support from our tutors).

The UCAT Weekly Tutoring Program is designed to be taken alongside busy school work, so it's extremely rare for students to struggle with the time commitment of the program. Despite this, it's always possible for students to lose motivation at times, and so if students need extra support we are more than happy to assist them with extra classes & guidance if need be.

How long does the program run for?

This program is designed to run up until your UCAT exam in July of year 12.

This means that for year 11 students, it will run for 12 months. Whereas for students in younger years it will run for longer (for example if you start this program in year 10, you can continue it all the way up until your exam in July of year 12).

My child is in Year 9 or 10, can they still join?

Yes - students in Year 9 & 10 are able to join the UCAT Weekly Tutoring Program.

We strongly encourage Year 9 & 10 students join the program as it allows them to develop core UCAT skills before they get into the difficult & challenging Years of 11 & 12. We've found that students who begin in Years 9 & 10 often have a significant advantage over students who start later in Years 11 & 12, and generally achieve higher UCAT scores.

Year 9 & 10 students follow the same structure as Year 11's initially, going through the 'Foundations' phase first, and then the 'Skill Development' phase. This accelerates their UCAT learning, allowing them to cover most of the more difficult and time-consuming concepts (that many students struggle with) before they begin Year 12 (and sometimes even Year 11). This allows them to dedicate more time to school study and homework in Years 11 and 12 when they have regular and important assessments and exams.

Students that start in Years 9 and 10 also get to spend more time on the 'Mastery' phase of the program, which is where students can maximize their chances of success. Exams are known to be difficult & unpredictable, and by spending more time in the 'Mastery' phase of the program, your child will be able to make advanced tweaks to their UCAT skills and push their score to the 98th and 99th percentiles.

If your child is in Year 9 or 10 and you are interested in joining the UCAT Weekly Tutoring Program, but have some final questions, please don't hesitate to send us an email at and we will get back to you within 24-48 hours.

Why is the program limited to 200 spots?

The '$55 P/W weekly tutoring program' is limited to 200 spots to ensure that class sizes aren't too large. At Med Prep School we pride ourselves on having a small, high quality tutoring team over a larger & less experienced one. This means that we must cut off our cohorts at 200 spots to ensure that class sizes remain reasonable & every student gets the attention & personalised guidance they need.

I'm ready to join, but I'd feel more comfortable joining over the phone, what should I do?
